Highway Superintendent

Frank DiZenzo Sr.Frank DiZenzo was born in the Bronx and moved to Valley Cottage in 1976. He is married to his wife Lisa for the past 27 years and has two wonderful kids: Danielle and Frank Jr. Frank attended St. Paul’s Elementary School and Nyack High School. His career in the Clarkstown Highway Department began right after high school graduation.

“My hope is that I am seen as an elected official, and not a “politician,” as I complete my first term in office as your Clarkstown Highway Superintendent. I trust that my 34 years of experience with this agency have shown that I know what does and does not work. The support and recognition of my peers, who unanimously elected me President of the Superintendent of Highways Association, last December, are truly gratifying. But above all, I am so very grateful for the working relationships my teams and I have forged which have helped us to set our Highway Department on solid footing in order to deliver the best possible services to our town in the timeliest manner.”

Together, we as your Clarkstown Highway Department service:

**1,400 town roads
**45 miles of sidewalks
**125 miles of streams
**12 commuter lots
**68 bus shelters

The Highway Department responsibilities include leaf and yard waste pickup; snow removal and ice control for over 300 miles of roads and sidewalks; maintenance of Right of Way; emergency response to road issues; street lighting outages; traffic signals; stream and culvert maintenance; road repairs; sidewalk maintenance; storm cleanup; and infrastructure improvements.

Frank’s goal is to stay on proper maintenance schedules, and to remediate issues as quickly as possible. He welcomes input from fellow town residents so that he can better serve our community. Please always feel free to contact him.
