Town Begins
Collecting Storm Damage Assessment Forms
(New City, NY)
- The Town of Clarkstown is assisting the County of Rockland
in preparing for a FEMA review of RocklandCounty individual and
business disaster assessments and declaration. The Town is asking
residents and businesses that have suffered damage during Hurricane Irene to
fill out a Storm Damage Assessment Form on the Town’s website (www.town.clarkstown.ny.us)
as soon as possible.
The
Town will be collecting all residents and businesses damage information to be
included on the County's central database. This form is not an
application for FEMA assistance. This is an initial damage assessment and
approximate estimate to assist the County in obtaining individual assistance
from FEMA. It is not necessary for residents to provide detailed
information, itemized lists, photos or exact estimates with this form.
The
Town will continue to keep its residents and businesses informed on any
information received from the County
of Rockland regarding
FEMA assistance for individuals.
