Pep rally planned for New City Little League 11-12 Softball All Stars

(New City, NY) – Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack, Councilman Frank Borelli and the Town Board announce the Town of Clarkstown and New City Little League planned a pep rally for the New City Little League 11-12 Softball All Stars who made it to the 2011 Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon.  The pep rally will be held today, August 4^th at 6:30pm at Zukor Park, New City. 

The team won the District 18 title, Section 4 Title, New York State Title, Mid-Atlantic Title, and finally Eastern Regional Title.  They are now one of only ten teams from around the world to compete in the World Series from August 11^th – 17^th in Portland, Oregon.   

The team will depart Town Hall at 6pm on the New City Fire Department truck and parade down Main Street to Zukor Park.  Once the team arrives, approximately 6:30pm, the pep rally will commence.  The Town Board will present a proclamation to the team and their coaches. 

All media and residents are encouraged to attend to support the New City Little League Softball All Stars.
