Town and PBA Receive Final Award of State Arbitrators

(New City, NY) - The Clarkstown Town Board and PBA President David Trois announced the decision of the three member panel in the interest arbitration case between the Town and the Clarkstown Police Benevolent Association.  The panel awarded the Clarkstown PBA an increase in salary of 3.4% for 2009 and 2010.  The award was a 2-1 decision with the Town’s panel member dissenting.  The dissenting opinion is attached.

Town Board Members Supervisor Alex Gromack, Council members Shirley Lasker, Frank Borelli, George Hoehmann and Stephanie Hausner and Clarkstown PBA President David Trois all agree that throughout this long and arduous process the Clarkstown Police Officers continued to provide the highest level of professionalism and service to the people of Clarkstown. 

All involved look forward to discussing new terms and conditions for the PBA contract for 2011 and beyond.
