Lake Nanuet Opens for the Summer 2011 Season

(New City, NY) – As of today, the Town of Clarkstown has opened its Lake Nanuet Pool facility for the summer 2011 season.  The pool is operating at normal hours of 11AM to 6:45PM.  Town summer camps will return to Lake Nanuet next week (Tuesday).     

Last Thursday’s heavy rain storm caused runoff into the Lake Nanuet Pool forcing the Town to delay the opening.  The pool had to be drained, power-washed and refilled.  After testing the water this morning all levels are back to normal.   

“I am pleased the Lake Nanuet Pool is open in time for the July 4^th weekend,” said Supervisor Gromack.  “We encourage all Clarkstown residents to use the beautiful facility along with the Town’s two other pool facilities Germonds Pool and Congers Pool.”
