Clarkstown Loose Leaf Pick Up Program Ahead of Schedule
Residents Encouraged to Check Website for Updates

NY – Highway Superintendent Wayne Ballard
announced today that the Town of Clarkstown
Loose Leaf Program is running ahead of schedule.
“The crews are making great
progress,” said Highway Superintendent Wayne Ballard.“They have been working hard to collect
60,000 yards of leaves, which is about 85% of the leaves in Clarkstown.”
Residents and landscapers are
urged to check the Town’s website at www.clarkstownhighway.com
for the latest street schedule updates to ensure that leaves are put to the
curb in time for pick up.It is
anticipated that the trucks will be moving faster through each neighborhood
during this next round up.
Bagged leaves will continue to be
picked up throughout the winter months when the weather permits.Yard waste including brush, branches and
twigs can not be mixed in with leaves during this program.Yard waste pick up will resume in March or
residents can drop off at the Rockland County Solid Waste Management
Authority.
