Clarkstown Holds Foreclosure Prevention Seminar

Residents will have access to organizations and agencies that can offer assistance

(New City, NY) – The Town of Clarkstown will host a Foreclosure Prevention Seminar on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 7pm – 9pm in the Town Hall Auditorium, 10 Maple Avenue, New City.  The event will give residents an opportunity to speak with foreclosure prevention professionals from various organizations and agencies throughout the County.

The participating organizations in conjunction with the Town are as follows: Rockland Housing Action Coalition, Legal Aid Society, Mental Health Association of Rockland, Rockland Bar Association, Rockland Community Development Council, Rockland County Attorney’s Office, and Rockland County Office of Consumer Protection.

There will be a panel presentation of speakers from the various organizations for the first hour followed by a question and answer session.  Residents can anonymously ask questions with index cards collected before and during the event.  Breakout sessions will then give residents private time to talk about specific questions or concerns with the professionals.
