Town of Clarkstown New City Revitalization Ground Breaking Ceremony

   Location:        Kevin Landau Park, on the corner of Congers Road and Main Street, New City

 

Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack and the Town Board are pleased to announce the New City Revitalization Ground Breaking Ceremony to be held on September 8.  The revitalization of downtown New City is an extensive construction project in which residents, local businesses, civic groups and the Town worked together over many years to create a vision to make New City special. 

 

“As the town and county government seat, and the largest of Clarkstown’s hamlets, New City is at the heart of not only Clarkstown but Rockland County,” said Supervisor Gromack.    

 

The Town Board awarded the bid for the project to Tilcon at the August 4 Town Board meeting.  The New City project area includes the entire Main Street corridor from Congers Road south to the end of Main Street and Congers Road from State Route 304 to Main Street.

 

Residents and media are encouraged to join the Supervisor at this event.
