Town of Clarkstown Holds Back to
School Drive
Clarkstown Supervisor
Alex Gromack has announced that the Town of Clarkstown is participating in a
back to school drive from now through September 4.The back to school drive will benefit two not-for-profit
organizations:Advocate for Change and
People to People.
In this economic
climate, it is especially important that we all try to help our neighbors in
need, said Supervisor Alex Gromack.
These two reputable
organizations in our community are collecting school supplies to distribute to
students before the start of the school year.
The Town is asking
employees and residents to donate supplies from the following list in an effort
to help families in need during these tough economic times.
The list includes:
·book bags
·3 subject notebooks
·5 subject notebooks
·1 binders
·2 binders
·Filter paper
·Loose leaf paper
·Index cards
·Scientific calculators (new/used in working condition)
·Pens/Pencils
Donation boxes are
located in the lobbies at:
Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, New City
Clarkstown
Recreation & Parks Department, 31 Zukor Road, New
City
Clarkstown Police
Department, 20 Maple Avenue, New City
Supervisor Gromack
said, I encourage anyone who can help to donate and make a student happy as
they go back to school prepared for the new academic year.
