Clarkstown Undertakes
the Nanuet Parking Permit Program
(New City, NY) The Town of Clarkstown has recently begun
undertaking the Nanuet Parking Permit Program that was previously administered
by a private transit company. This new
service will provide Clarkstown residents with easier access to information
about the permit program and the permit renewal process, while saving the Town
money.
The Town of Clarkstown has several commuter lots located
throughout the Town; however, the Nanuet Train Station commuter lot is the only
one that requires a permit in order to keep it for residents only.
“By handling this service internally, the permit process has
been made easier and more cost efficient for the Town,” said Supervisor Alex
Gromack.
The Town is automatically renewing each resident’s permit
for this year to facilitate the transition.Next year, residents will be required to come in or mail in their
application to renew with the Town Clerk, David Carlucci, at Town Hall, 10
Maple Avenue in New City.The
application will also be available on the internet at www.town.clarkstown.ny.us .
For more information or questions, residents can call Town
Clerk David Carlucci’s Office at (845) 639-2010.
