Use of the Clarkstown Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authoriy Compost Site is permitted as follows: Residents of the town of Clarkstown: For disposal of leaves, grass clippings, brush or clean waste wood only, from Clarkstown residences. No fee. Obtain a permit from the Department of Environmental Control office. County of Rockland Municipalities: For disposal of leaves, grass clippings, brush or clean waste wood only. No fee. All Others: For disposal of leaves, grass clippings, brush or clean waste wood only. Required fees: See Solid Waste Facility for rates.
Notes:
- Material not meeting the definition of yardwaste or clean waste wood as found in 6 NYCRR Part 360 shall not be accepted. Plastic bags shall not be accepted from any source. Disposal of plastic bags is the responsibility of the customer.
- Loads shall be discharged as directed by Facility Attendant.
Distribution Finished product is available as follows: Residents of the Town of Clarkstown: May pick up finished compost and wood mulch wood for use at their Town of Clarkstown residence. County of Rockland Municipalities: May pick up finished compost and wood mulch for further distribution to their residents or for other municipal use, based on the amount of raw material delivered. Notes:
- The availability of finished product varies seasonally. Material is distributed on a first-come first-served basis until supplies are exhausted.
