Each year, the Clarkstown Building Department receives hundreds of calls from both new homeowners and long-time residents interested in building a new house or adding to an existing one as well as those wishing to do commercial construction and alterations including change in occupancies. We welcome these calls and are glad to help make the building permit and certificate of occupancy (C.O.) process as quick and simple as possible.

Building permits and C.O.'s are your assurance and ours, that your house and the buildings and stores you visit in the Town of Clarkstown meet the building codes for structural soundness and fire safety.
