The Town Board recognized the St. Francis of Assisi basketball team for winning CYO NYS Champions. June 15, 2010.
The Valley Cottage Library recognized Supervisor Gromack, Senator Morahan and Assemblyman Zebrowski with the Anne Coren Memorial Award for their assistance in the library’s goal of making the library parking lot ingress/egress safer for residents.

On May 7th, Supervisor Gromack helped Girl Scout Troop 40699 kick off their Walk-A-Thon at Congers Memorial Lake. The Troop organized the event for their bronze award project and raised over $600 for Haiti.
BOCES hosted their annual Earth Day event to showcase how green technology is applied on the Career Technology Education Center campus. Supervisor Gromack, Councilmembers Stephanie Hausner and George Hoehmann with Supt. MaryJean Marsico and Bill Popkave.
Supervisor Gromack and Councilman Frank Borelli attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bathroom facility at New City Little League’s Strawtown Field with Lon Hofstein, President, and Steve Goudsmith from United Water.
The Town Board recognized and celebrated 100 years of scouting with local Boy Scouts.
Laurel Plains Elementary School invited Supervisor Gromack to their Parents as Reading Partners Dignitary Read Aloud Day on April 8th. Supervisor Gromack read Arthur Meets the President to Mrs. Gauzza’s second grade class.
On April 9, Supervisor Gromack, an Eagle Scout, met with Cub Scouts Ross Foothorap, Daniel Fitzgerald, Andrew Damo and leaders Dave Damo and Bill Fitzgerald of Pack 49, West Nyack for one of their cub scout badges.

The Town of Clarkstown recognized Officer Peter Walker with the Blue Star Flag and ceremony for his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is currently serving in Kuwait.
Supervisor Gromack attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Hudson City Bank, 228 So. Main Street, New City located in the DeCicco’s Marketplace in March 2010.

The Town Board recognized West Nyack resident Gerard Mattimore for receiving the national volunteer of the year award for his work with the Easter Seals.

On March 6th, Supervisor Gromack and the Town Board kicked off “Community Weekend” at Model’s in the Palisades Mall. The Town worked with Model’s to organize the event to help raise funds for the five little league associations in the Town.

The Town Board recognized the Reflections winners from the Clarkstown School District.
On Saturday, February 6th, Regis and Joy Philbin visited the FYE store at the Palisades Mall to promote their first CD together. Supervisor Alex Gromack presented the Philbin’s with a proclamation from the Town of Clarkstown.
At the January 19th Town Board meeting, Supervisor Alex Gromack, Council members, and Highway Superintendent recognized the New City Rams Jr. Pee Wee Football team for winning the 2009 Empire State Classic Championship.
In January 2010, Supervisor Gromack joined the Congers Fire Department to congratulate Ex Fire Chief Chuck Brodil (pictured with his family) for his year of service as Chief.
Supervisor Gromack attended Eagle Scout AJ Hernandez’s Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday, January 10th. For his Eagle Leadership Service Project, AJ built a sensory integration trail for the Children of Promise Stable in Nanuet.
On January 2nd, Supervisor Gromack attended the Eagle Court of Honor for Brendan Kelly pictured here with his father John Kelly. For his Eagle Scout project, Brendan beautified the flagpole area at the Clarkstown School District Administration Building.
Supervisor Gromack proudly presents Roger Dupont, a representative of Toys for Tots, all the toys donated by Town of Clarkstown employees over the last few weeks for the Toys for Tots holiday collection.

Supervisor Gromack visits the site of the Virginia Street/Carolina Drive drainage improvement project in New City. The project will help alleviate adverse drainage conditions on Virginia Street and is expected to be complete by the end of November.

On Saturday 9/12/09 Supervisor Gromack held the annual Supervisor's Walk at Rockland Lake State Park. Supervisor Gromack is pictured with some of the walk participants on top of the mountain, overlooking the beautiful Hudson River.
On Saturday 9/12/09 Supervisor Gromack attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Douglas Woolley of Troop 78. Also in attendance were Assemblyman Zebrowski and Tim Woolley, Douglas' brother. Scout Douglas Woolley created a Veteran's Memorial Walkway.
